Calcium fluoride (CaF2)

Calcium fluoride (CaF2) crystal is an important optical material, which has excellent transparency in a wide spectral range from ultraviolet to infrared. The refractive index of CaF2 crystal is relatively low, which allows it to greatly reduce reflection loss in optical components. In addition, CaF2 crystals also have good chemical stability, especially in extreme environments such as high temperatures or acidic environments, where CaF2 crystals can still maintain their stability. Therefore, CaF2 crystals are widely used in the manufacturing of high-quality optical components, such as lenses, windows, prisms, etc., especially in ultraviolet and infrared optical systems. However, its mechanical strength is relatively weak and requires attention during processing and use.

Dihedral Technology(DHD) Co., Ltd. manufacture and processing/provide multiple specifications and high quality CaF2 crystal, targets, materials.

Applications

It is an ideal material for making various optical windows, prisms, and lenses.
