Tellurium dioxide (TeO2)

Tellurium dioxide TeO2 is an acousto-optic material with high quality factors, such as good birefringence and optical performance. With slow sound propagation in the [110] direction, optical devices can be improved by several orders of magnitude, with fast response speed, low driving power, high diffraction efficiency and reliable performance. It is an ideal single crystal material for making various acoustooptic devices, such as acoustooptic detection, modulators, resonators, and tunable filters. TeO2 crystals have excellent thermal efficiency, optical properties, BB (growth) resistance, and lifespan. It is also very hard and wear-resistant, with good endurance, and can be used in sensors, automatic control, wireless communication, laser communication, solar cells, and accessories. It can also be used for instruments such as fire control devices, safety devices, and precision instruments. In addition, TeO2 crystals can serve as an effective medium for optical signal transmission, allowing for more stable monostable signals to be transmitted within the crystal.
