Terbium gallium garnet (TGG)

Terbium gallium garnet (Tb3Ga5O12, TGG) is a high-performance magneto-optical crystal in the visible and infrared bands. TGG crystals have high Feld constant, low absorption coefficient, high thermal conductivity, high laser damage threshold, and excellent optical quality. All these advantages make TGG crystal suitable for building Faraday effect devices, and make up for the shortcomings of YIG crystal in the visible and near-infrared spectral regions. As an ideal magneto-optical material, TGG crystal has attracted widespread attention as an optical isolator for fiber lasers in the visible and infrared bands.

Dihedral Technology(DHD) Co., Ltd. manufacture and processing/provide multiple specifications and high quality TGG crystal, targets, materials.

Applications

TGG crystals are suitable for constructing Faraday effect devices, making up for the shortcomings of YIG crystals in the visible and near-infrared bands.
As an ideal magneto-optical material, TGG crystal has attracted widespread attention as an optical isolator for fiber lasers in the visible and infrared bands.

Features

Terbium gallium garnet (Gd3Ga5O12, abbreviated as GGG) has a stable crystal structure and high thermal conductivity, making it suitable as a substrate material for various solid-state lasers.
GGG crystals have high magnetism and can serve as excellent substrates for magneto optical devices and magnetic materials.
GGG crystals have good transparency in the visible and near-infrared regions, making them very suitable for optical applications.
GGG crystals have high chemical stability and are not easily affected by environmental conditions, thus ensuring good performance in various environments.
• GGG crystal has a large Lattice constant, which can form a matching epitaxial film with many other materials, so it is widely used in the field of microelectronics and optoelectronics.
