Indium Tin Oxide (ITO)

ITO (indium tin oxide) glass is a transparent conductive material composed of indium oxide (In2O3) and tin oxide (SnO2). The main properties of ITO are transparency and electrical conductivity, as well as the physical and chemical stability of glass.

Dihedral Technology(DHD) Co., Ltd. manufacture and processing/provide multiple specifications and high quality ITO crystal, targets, materials.

Applications

1. Display panel industry (largest application area)
Liquid Crystal Display (LCD): ITO conductive glass is one of the key materials for LCDs, used as transparent electrodes for various types of LCD screens such as TN, STN, TFT-LCD, etc.
Organic light-emitting diode (OLED): As a transparent anode, it is used in high-end display devices such as smartphones and televisions.
Plasma Display Panel (PDP): A transparent electrode used for plasma television.
2. Touch screen (TP)
Capacitive touch screens: Smartphones, tablets, car touch screens, etc. all rely on ITO conductive glass as the sensing layer.
Resistive touch screen: Some industrial equipment still uses a resistive structure, and ITO glass is a key component.
3. Solar cells
Thin film solar cells: ITO conductive glass is used as a transparent conductive layer (TCO glass) to improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency.
4. Special glass and industrial applications
Electromagnetic shielding glass: used in computer rooms, military facilities, etc. to prevent electromagnetic interference.
Electric heated glass: applied to car and airplane windshields to achieve defrosting and defogging functions.
Intelligent dimming glass: used for building curtain walls, privacy glass, etc. by controlling transparency through electric fields.

Features

The main advantage of ITO glass is that it is both transparent and conductive. Although most glass is an electrical insulator, it has excellent electrical conductivity due to the special chemical composition of ITO. At the same time, due to its high transparency, light can pass through well, which makes it have important applications in display technology and optoelectronic devices. In addition, ITO glass has excellent chemical and physical stability, which can maintain good performance in various environments.
