Lithium tantalate thin film epitaxial wafer

Lithium tantalate thin film is a thin film made of lithium tantalate (LiTaO3) material. LiTaO3 is a crystal material with unique electrical properties, commonly used in the manufacturing of piezoelectric and optical devices. It is used in temperature compensated surface acoustic wave filters to better suppress temperature drift and make processing easier.

Dihedral Technology(DHD) Co., Ltd. manufacture and processing/provide multiple specifications and high quality Lithium Tantalate thin film.

Applications

Acoustic devices: Lithium tantalate thin films can be used to manufacture various piezoelectric acoustic devices, such as surface acoustic wave (SAW) filters, acoustic delay lines, etc.
Optical devices: Due to its excellent optical properties, lithium tantalate thin films can be used to manufacture optical modulators, waveguides, and other optical devices.
Sensors: By utilizing their piezoelectric effect, lithium tantalate thin films can be used to manufacture various types of sensors, such as pressure sensors, acceleration sensors, etc.

Features

Piezoelectric performance: LiTaO3 is an excellent piezoelectric material that can convert mechanical strain into charge or electric field, or convert electric field into mechanical strain.
Optical characteristics: It also has good optical performance and important application value for optical devices.
Thermal stability: Compared to other piezoelectric materials, LiTaO3 exhibits relatively good stability at high temperatures.
